The Project
The UK headquarters of a global financial Institution situated in Canary Wharf is undergoing a significant refurbishment, the project will see the modernisation and refurbishment undertaken by Morgan Sindall and is set for completion in 2025.
Morgan Sindall required connectivity to be installed across 41 floors so that they could undertake high power tasks.
Onwave worked to understand the requirement – which included built in resilience with switch fabric to ensure those working on the project could work collaboratively, sharing large CAD files and BIM software across up to 300 devices per floor at any one time.
Phase one
The Onwave team completed a comprehensive Wi-Fi Survey – this included switch fabric to facilitate Wi-Fi, for 6 floors for construction staff, with the ability to then scale this for Phase two across further floors within the building. Phase one was fully completed within two working days – enabling the Morgan Sindall Team to be up and running quickly.
